This state of the art roof ventilator has been specifically designed as a joint collaboration between Ampelite and iSwirl. The product includes the patented design registered by iSwirl Pty Ltd and incorporates Ampelite’s many years of experience in roof ventilation.  The product is based on the Ampelite SV450 and incorporates a 50W solar panel on the top of the head, that drives a 24V brushless motor.  The motor has a large fan blade attached that substantially increases the up draft that ensures sheds, warehouses and commercial spaces are kept cool in the hot Australian summer. The unit is designed to operate with wind and with solar, a unique system and the only one in the Australian market.

By combining wind and solar power, the iSwirl 450 continues to extract heat, delivering more consistent performance throughout the day. Traditional ventilators slow down when wind drops — exactly when heat can build up the most. With higher energy prices and global climate change factories, warehouses and all commercial spaces need to keep cooler in summer and damp free in winter. The iSwirl 450 achieves this in a vastly more efficient way than a standard whirlybird / roof ventilator.

It is typically twice as efficient (extraction of air measured in L/s), as a standard Whirlybird vent under the same wind conditions.
